After a very quiet start to the transfer window, Everton could end up finding themselves involved in two of the biggest transfer deals of the summer.
The Toffees recently signed Richarlison from Watford for a fee believed in be in the region of £50m (via BBC Sport), while Jordan Pickford could end up leaving Goodison Park for similar money.
Losing Pickford, who was arguably the Three Lions’ best player at the World Cup, would be a disaster for Everton.
Selling the 24-year-old sends the wrong message to supporters and, ultimately, the Blues will not be able to shake the selling club image attached to them if onlookers have seen once again they have sold one of their most prized assets.
However, given that £31.5m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Pickford still has four years left on his contract, Everton are under no pressure to sell.
Have a look at what Everton supporters are saying on Chelsea’s alleged interest in Pickford below…
If this happens it’s just game over would actually be the worst thing to happen all season. Terrible terrible club if we sell him

Just get lost and leave him alone

If we spin Pickford this summer I’m done. Simple

Big test for Mr Moshiri with Pickford. We are watching #EFC

Everton should make a statement regarding Pickford in my opinion. Just put the whole thing to bed now before it gets out of hand. First time this summer I’ve been worried about us tbh. We can’t sell him we just can’t #EFC

If we sell Pickford two weeks till the season starts then it's more of a complete shambles than it already is
