The central midfield player had to be replaced by Andre Gomes toward the end of the first half with it looking like he may now be a doubt for the game against Arsenal a home at the weekend.

It would be a big blow for the Merseyside club to lose the Brazil international over the very busy Christmas period given the unforgiving run of games, and more so what he offers to Carlo Ancelotti when he plays.
The 29 year-old has won no fewer than 6.7 of his duels a game in the Premier League so far in the 2020/21 term, as well as averaging 3.4 tackles, 1.7 successful dribbles and 1.1 interceptions per match (Sofascore).
