Everton: Fans react as Sergio Romero left out of Manchester United PL squad

Lots of Everton fans have been reacting as Sergio Romero has been left out of Manchester United’s Premier League squad, per Phil Kirkbride.

As per the Liverpool Echo journalist, the Goodison Park faithful had enquired about signing the Argentina international on Transfer Deadline Day, but a move to the Merseyside club never materialised in the end.

However, there may still be an opportunity for Carlo Ancelotti’s team to sign him in the January transfer window, as Romero has clearly fallen out of favour with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 33-year old kept a quite impressive 12 clean sheets in just 17 matches for the Old Trafford faithful over all competitions in the 2019/20 term, coupled with the concession of only five goals (Transfermarkt).

Indeed, if the Toffees decide not to make Robin Olsen’s loan move from AS Roma a permanent one in the summer, then Romero could provide a potentially cut-price option to the Blues.
