Everton: Fans react to Alan Myers transfer update on Bernard

Many Everton fans have been left reacting to a Transfer Deadline Day claim from Alan Myers on the future of Bernard.

As per a tweet from the sports news editor, the chances of the Brazil international moving abroad looks ‘very unlikely’ after he trained with the Goodison Park faithful on Monday.

He was strongly linked with a move away from the Merseyside club before the deadline hits, but now it looks as if he may be staying.

It could be a missed opportunity for Carlo Ancelotti’s team in terms of getting some money for Bernard, given that they signed the 28-year-old on a free transfer and thus would have been able to make a profit on him.

However, to sell him without bringing in a replacement is very risky business and he could still have a place in the squad at the Toffees.

“Whether he leaves or stays don’t matter he’s not good enough to get in to the starting 11 or influence games coming from the bench just fills a space on the bench! Had really high hopes when we signed him thinks he’s got a lot of quality it’s just not worked for him or us”
