Many Everton fans have been left lauding a transfer update from Alan Myers as Dubai-based club Al Nasr are reportedly keen to sign Bernard.
As per a tweet from the news editor, Al Nasr are keen to sign the Brazil international on a permanent deal by the end of this month, however, no official offer has been made as of yet.
Should Everton sell Bernard?
Al Nasr are considering making a bid of £10m for the 28-year-old, who only has 18 months left on his current deal with the Goodison Park faithful.
It would likely be a good move by the Merseyside club to let him go, especially given that they originally signed the winger on a free transfer, so there is an opportunity to make some profit from his sale.
He has not really pulled up many trees during his time with the Toffees either, scoring just seven goals and making seven assists in 76 games in total in all competitions over the last three consecutive terms (Transfermarkt).
Everton fan reaction to Bernard update
These Blues lauded the update on Bernard on Twitter, with one EFC supporter claiming that his sale could be ‘great business by Brands’:
“I’ll drive him there myself ….. when the lockdown lifts obviously”
“GET HIM GONE, HE’S PAST HIS USE BY DATE, DEAD WEIGHT”
