Many Everton fans have been reacting to the latest update by Fabrizio Romano on the future of Southampton ace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as the football journalist claimed that he is very close to joining Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur on his official Twitter page.
As per Romano, personal terms have already been agreed with Spurs as there are only last bits of details to be completed.

The transfer fee is set to be €17 million, which is the equivalent of around £15.3 million.
Hojbjerg has been linked with a move to Goodison Park in this summer window, but several members of the Toffees faithful have slammed previous interest in the Saints man before.

Based off of his stats in the 2019/20 season, perhaps they were right to be critical of him. Hojbjerg only managed a single assist in 38 games in all competitions for Ralph Hasenhuttl, according to Transfermarkt, which for a central midfield player, is arguably not good enough.
There is also plenty of time for Carlo Ancelotti to look at other possible targets in the market and forget about the Danish international.
