Everton: Fans react to footage of Manuel Fernandes’ stunning strike

Many Everton fans have reacted to footage from Manuel Fernandes’ time at the club via social media.

With football at a standstill due to the latest pandemic, football fans are engaging with each other via various fan and club accounts.

Everton have not had the most consistent season so far in the Premier League and the Toffees sit 12th in the league standings at present.

Having seen Marco Silva replaced by Carlo Ancelotti before the turn of 2020, Everton fans are hopeful the Italian manager can turn things around at Goodison Park and create some memories moving forward.

Looking back over former memories via footage, Everton account @ATNCAST shared a goal scored by Fernandes against Manchester United, prompting a large response from fans.

The Portuguese midfielder spent time on loan at the Merseyside club, both in 2007 and in 2008, before moving on to have spells with the likes of Valencia, Besiktas, Lokomotiv Moscow and Krasnodar.

Scoring just twice during his time with Everton, his strike against United was certainly one of high quality.
