Everton: Fans react to initial confirmed stadium capacity of new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium

Everton fans have reacted on social media to the initial capacity of the club’s brand new stadium at the Bramley-Moore Dock in north Liverpool.

This comes after Laing O’Rourke were appointed to build the new £500m stadium on the shores of the River Mersey and the official planning application was released to the public, as per the Liverpool Echo. The local residents will have until Friday 20th March to leave their feedback on the plans, which could hinder on whether Liverpool City Council will give them the go-ahead to commence with the venue’s construction.

It was revealed that the precise capacity of the Toffees’ new home on the waterfront will house 52,888 fans, with Everton’s Stadium Development Director Colin Chong stating that a lot of work has gone into getting the plans to this final stages. After digesting all of the information, supporters felt that the capacity was more than acceptable. One fan said that it is more enough, with many stating that they would rather fill the ground than have empty seats on matchdays.
