Everton fans have fumed after the unpopular referee was selected to take charge of the Toffees’ FA Cup tie against their big rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
The Premier League official was selected by the FA to take charge one of the biggest games of the Blues’ season, and a fixture that has caused the blue half of Merseyside a headache in the modern era.
Everton have not won at Anfield since 1999 and will desperately want to eradicate the unwanted record.
Moss took charge of Everton’s defeat to Leicester City in the Carabao Cup on penalties after the game finished 2-2 in normal time.
The league cup exit at the hands of the Foxes meant that the Toffees have not won a game with Moss in charge in their last five matches.
Supporters were furious about the announcement and made their feelings clear towards Moss on social media.
