Everton: Fans react to reports Besiktas have rejected Oumar Niasse

Everton fans have reacted to a recent report claiming that Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas have rejected the chance to sign Oumar Niasse on a free transfer.

Turkish newspaper Star have claimed that Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin has opted not to sign Niasse after the player’s agent made contact with the Istanbul based club.

The Senegalese international will see his contract expire at Goodison Park this summer after spending four years with the Merseyside club.

Arriving at Everton in 2015 for £13.5m, Niasse has had a inconsistent time at the club and has been loaned out to Hull City and Cardiff City along the way.

Nine goals in 39 games for the Toffees, with just three of those appearances coming this term, have seen Niasse’s potential of signing a new contract this summer look extremely unlikely, prompting his agent to look for a new club.

Having spent time in Turkey before moving to Everton, the 29-year-old would seemingly be keen to make a move back to the Super Lig, but he may have to look at alternatives to Besiktas now.

Reacting to a latest tweet by Twitter account @EvertonNewsFeed, fans gave their opinion on the striker’s future past the summer.
