Plenty of Everton fans have been looking back at Louis Saha’s four goals during his side’s 5-3 win against Blackpool in 2011.
Saha, who moved from Manchester United on a free transfer in 2008, was the star of the show at Goodison Park as he helped his side topple the newly-promoted side. Jermain Beckford also contributed to the Toffees’ goal tally with 10 minutes to play, but that failed to steal any of the former France international’s limelight.
The club’s official Twitter page posted highlights on Wednesday in what marked nine years since the iconic day on Merseyside. He went on to score 34 goals and provide four assists in 115 appearances for Everton, as per TransferMarkt. Supporters were in awe looking back at the goals and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was “comfortably the best striker in the club’s Premier League era”, while another simply described him as “class”.
