Everton’s chances of signing target Gabriel Magalhaes are slipping away as Lille have reportedly agreed a transfer fee with Napoli.
According to the Independent (relayed via @ToffeeTVEFC), the Blues are unlikely to see the defender join Goodison Park this summer due to the current financial climate as a result of recent events.

Now it seems as though Magalhaes will stay in Europe but move from France to Italy, as Napoli have reportedly had an offer agreed to secure the deal. However, no personal terms have been decided as of yet and other clubs are still circling the Brazilian.

Everton fans have responded to the update and many are disappointed that Napoli have snubbed them in making a move for their man. A few are asking questions as to why they cannot afford him, whilst one supporter has suggested it ‘sounds like [Jean-Clair] Todibo is more likely now’. The Merseyside outfit is also linked with Schalke’s defender and are in ‘pole position’ to bring him in.
