Loads of Everton fans have been having their say about the club’s latest links with the Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
According to Fotospor, the Toffees sent scouts to watch the Super Lig shot-stopper as questions linger over the recent form of England international Jordan Pickford. This comes after the Sunderland-born shot-stopper’s latest mistake after he failed to stop Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke’s shot that was fired straight at him, letting the ball pass underneath his body.
The £7.2m-rated Turkey international (according to TransferMarkt) also has interest from the likes of Liverpool and French side Lille, as per Turkish Football. He recently earned his first senior cap with his country and has had a rapid rise to prominence in his homeland, highly related by club and nation, as per iNews. Despite this, the Gwladys Street faithful were not impressed and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described him as Jonas Lossl 2.0, another keeper who won’t get much game time at Goodison Park.
