According to a report from Calciomercato.com via Football Italia, Everton have reportedly entered the race for Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino as part of their supposed January transfer window influx – with the Uruguayan apparently being sacrificed by Antonio Conte to make space for Christian Eriksen in his squad.
Vecino, who has made 14 appearances for Inter this season, starting 10 of them, has been rumoured by the report to be the player that Conte will try to sell on in order to facilitate a pursuit of Tottenham star Christian Eriksen – with the Toffees reportedly interested in taking advantage of the situation.
The 28-year-old, in comparison to Everton’s current crop of centre-midfielders, doesn’t look to be on their level in terms of passing – with Vecino amassing a 75.9% success rate and 25.8 passes per game compared to superior numbers averaged by Tom Davies and Gylfi Sigurdsson, as per WhoScored.com. Vecino also doesn’t beat Fabian Delph’s numbers, with the Englishman accumulating an 86% pass success rate on average when he has played though he does beat the aforementioned Iceland star in terms of assists this season, 2 to 1.

A loan deal with the option to buy if he does the business, then a 12 month contract with possible extension after 6 monthsagain based on performance. The contracts were signing with players are far too long. With you, when they fail to perform were stuck with them for years.
