Everton fans have been agreeing that the absence of former midfielder Idrissa Gueye is seriously hampering the progress of their team.
The 30-year-old departed from Goodison Park in the summer and moved to the Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain for £29m.
The club made a substantial profit after the Senegal international joined the Toffees from Aston Villa for £8m in 2016, with the Blues bringing in Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin in his place.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been unfortunate with injuries this season, both Delph and Gbamin have suffered respective setbacks and Andre Gomes was ruled out for a significant amount of time after a serious ankle injury he sustained against Tottenham.
After a string of poor results this season, fans believe that the squad is missing one player in particular.
The loss of Idrissa Gueye has been significant to this team. A huge miss. #EFC

We never learn. Whenever we sell a first team player we never replace with same or better standard !!! Lukaku? Barkley? Stones? Gana? Just in the last few windows

And most blues didn’t rate him and say what does he offer. His legs in the middle of the park was massive
