According to The Telegraph, the Premier League’s plan to practise safe football once it returns will involve telling players to turn their face when tackled.
The top flight of English football is trying its hardest to come up with a solution to continue the current season, and one rule they have proposed to implement is to ‘turn your face away when tackled’.

Fans and players have gone without their football fix for more than two months now and the FA are proposing ‘Project Restart’, as well as the government giving the green light for matches to be played behind closed doors in June (via Daily Mail).
However, a lot of fans aren’t on board with this newest suggestion and Evertonians have responded to the report negatively. Many are questioning the safety of this proposed tackle rule and aren’t convinced it’s the right way to go. One Blue has said it’s ‘plain dangerous’ whilst another has wondered ‘What nonsense is in store today?’ whilst slamming the ‘ridiculous’ rule.
close your eyes when shooting, toss a coin to decide which way to dive for a pen, make the touch lines wonky, have goalie in and out,
