Many Everton fans have slammed the sale of Nikola Vlasic as he scored for CSKA Moscow in the derby against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Russian Premier League.
As per a clip shared by the Royal Blue Mersey on their official Twitter page, the former Toffees man found the back of the net with his left foot after some good play in the build-up during his team’s 2-1 defeat. That is his 13th goal in all competitions so far in the 2019/20 season, as he has also supplied seven assists in 37 games, according to Transfermarkt.

Vlasic was sold to the Russian side for £14.13m at the start of this campaign, with Transfermarkt now value him at £15.75m. However, the 22-year old’s spell at Goodison Park was far from impressive, where he managed just two goals and one assist in 19 matches in all competitions, lasting just one season (via Transfermarkt).

Nevertheless, these Everton supporters slammed the sale of the Croatian international after seeing his well-taken goal:
Selling him was a disaster. Stupid by Silva and Brands. One of the few good decisions by Koeman to sign him.

He showed promise when he played for us. Another one written off too quickly, also starting games for Croatia now 😬

I’ve always said that he should have more opportunities to play! Silva killed EFC.

Mistake to let him go imo , never got a fair go

I reckon he’d be playing down our right wing if he was still here
