Lots of Everton fans have been slamming their former player Ross Barkley as Aston Villa have confirmed on their official website that he has joined from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the 2020/21 term.
Indeed, the English international played in a total of 179 games in all competitions for the Merseyside club, scoring a relatively impressive 27 goals and making a further 28 assists, according to Transfermarkt.

Despite swapping Goodison Park for Stamford Bridge for £15.12 million in the 2018 January transfer window, Barkley has arguably not fulfilled his potential as of yet, and at 26 years of age now, one EFC supporter has labelled him as a ‘wasted talent’ on Twitter.

Another Blue has even described Barkley as ‘another Rodwell,’ another English central midfield player who perhaps showed promise while at the Toffees but now finds himself at another Premier League team in Sheffield United at the age of 29.

I wish I could say I'm gutted it didn't work out for him at Chelsea, but I'm honestly not. The way he treated the club to get the move and the sly moves he did – gets everything he deserves. Grass isn't always greener.

He’s just not good enough for a team that wants to win the big prizes. On his day he’s great but you get 3 bad games for every good one.

I said when he left give it two years he will be at a lower level club. No hes at villa. He will be a championship player in another two years. Wasted talent.
