Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to captain Seamus Coleman’s rallying cry after stating that the team’s confidence is soaring as they look to secure a European place for next season.
The 31-year-old led his team to a 3-1 victory last weekend against Crystal Palace, which secured back-to-back victories for the Toffees. The result means that the Blues have now taken 17 points from the eight Premier League games for which Carlo Ancelotti has been in charge, with the team now sitting in seventh place in the table.
As a result, Coleman told the club’s official website that the squad’s morale is high and that they are now aiming to get into the European places for the 2020/21 campaign, stressing that the Merseyside club must be playing in Europe. With this in mind, some supporters were split on Coleman’s comments and made their feelings clear on social media, with one suggesting that the Ireland international should leave his words in the past.
