Plenty of Everton fans think that Robin Olsen should start versus Manchester United following his interview with Everton TV.
In the interview, the Sweden international said:
“I came to Everton because I want to play.
“Everybody wants to play football – I will keep going and train hard and hope I will play again.
“It is nice to have my debut but I am disappointed about the result.”
Indeed, Olsen came into the starting line-up in place of Jordan Pickford against Newcastle United and despite the 2-1 loss at St. James’ Park, the 30-year-old did not disappoint.

He made two saves in the game to keep the scoreline down and his post-shot expected goals minus goals allowed (PSxG+/-) ratio of +0.4 suggests that he had an above-average day in terms of stopping shots (Fbref).

It is perhaps not a surprise then that several members of the Goodison Park faithful would like Olsen to keep his place in between the posts for the Merseyside club against Man Utd.
