Despite recent concerns, it appears that Everton are not on the market for a replacement goalkeeper in this transfer window window.
In his latest press conference (relayed via @ToffeeTVEFC), Carlo Ancelotti has said that he has ‘total confidence’ in Jordan Pickford’s abilities. He has also ruled out the idea that the club are looking to bring in a new shot-stopper to put pressure on the England international’s place in the team.

The update has come as a surprise for many Evertonians who have been eager to see Pickford either demoted or moved on. Last season, the 26-year-old conceded 56 Premier League goals and kept just nine clean sheets out of the 38 appearances he made for the Blues (via Transfermarkt).
Pickford also had a poor outing in Everton’s most recent match against Fleetwood Town, in which the former Sunderland man was directly at fault for both of the opposition’s goals.

After reading Ancelotti’s comments, a lot of Toffees fans aren’t happy. One has even marked them down as a ‘minus for Carlo’, whilst another has gone as far as tweeting ‘season over’ with Pickford in the net.
