Everton: Fans want Cenk Tosun to be given a second chance

Since the arrivals of some attacking players this summer and last, Cenk Tosun hasn’t had much of a look in. 

The Turkish striker arrived at Goodison Park in January 2018 with a decent track record of adding some much-needed attacking flair to an Everton side in need of replacing Romelu Lukaku.

After a slow start to his career on Merseyside, fans and pundits alike were quick to point out his slow goal return, but once he scored his first for the club two months after signing, he quickly hit form and helped the Toffees to an eighth-place finish along with fellow star performer Theo Walcott.

Now, the 28-year-old finds himself out of favour under Marco Silva – starting just 10 games last season and making the vast majority of his appearances off the bench.

With Everton’s summer spending spree appearing to fall flat so far this campaign, supporters are keen to see Tosun given a second chance to impress and help turn the club’s fortunes around:
