According to reports, Everton are in talks with Lille over acquiring the services of centre-back Gabriel Magalhães (via @NicoSchira).
The Toffees have reportedly shown interest in the Brazilian and are willing to offer him a contract until 2025. The back four is an area that Everton have struggled with this season, with the likes of loanee Djibril Sidibe coming under fire for his lacklustre performances.
Mason Holgate has recently signed a new five-year contract and fans are hopeful that Jonjoe Kenny will return from his loan spell with Schalke to help solve their defensive woes.

Signing a player of Magalhães’ calibre will mean adding a real wall in the centre of the back-line. Measuring at 6 foot 3, the 22-year-old could be vital in front of Jordan Pickford – this season the Brazilian is averaging 3.2 aerial duels won and 1.8 tackles per game (via WhoScored).
