Everton: Toffees don’t want ‘waste of money’ Djibil Sidibe to stay - Everton

Djibril Sidibe has dropped a hint that he wants to turn his loan spell with Everton into a permanent move (via Liverpool Echo). However, the same can’t be said for Toffees fans, who have not reacted well to the Frenchman’s quotes.

“I have had a discussion with the Monaco board, they know my position, I know theirs,” Sidibe told RMC. “Concerning Everton, I have my position, I also know the coach’s position. I can’t say, but on my side everything is green lit.”

Sidibe joined the Blues on loan from Monaco last summer in hope that he would ease some of Everton’s defensive woes. However, as a signing made by Marco Silva, will Carlo Ancelotti want to keep the 27-year-old?

The majority of Everton fans haven’t even thought twice about Sidibe’s desire to stay at the club, with many desperate for Monaco to take him back. One fan has said signing Sidibe permanently would ‘show Brands is clueless’ while another thinks he would be ‘a waste of money’.

What do you think, Blues? Would you take Sidibe on a permanent deal?
