Everton fans have been pleading to the club to sell Gylfi Sigurdsson after a string of poor performances in recent months.
The 30-year-old has been criticised for his performances last season and during the current campaign, particularly during their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday.
Despite a glittering start to his Goodison Park career, his noticeable decline has meant that the Goodison Park faithful are running out of patience with the man who joined from Swansea City for £45m in 2017.
With his contract set to expire in 2022, there is plenty of time for the Iceland skipper to regain the form that made fans appreciate him in the first place, but that seems like nothing more than a distant memory.
Supporters have had enough of the Icelandic midfielder and made their feelings clear on social media.
Here you will find some of the best comments from Everton fans:
Get rid as soon as possible. One good game in 8 is not acceptable for a £45 million pound player. Fraud.

Didn’t even realise he was still with us. Been a long time since anyone has sighted him.

His legs are gone. Sell and get some money back.

Sell. Good player for a good team somewhere, but not ours sadly.

Got to sell… even for half the price we got him. Doesn’t offer anything for the team anymore.

Pound for pound the worst everton player I’ve ever seen! I’d be fuming if we’d paid £5m for him!
