Everton: Fans want to see Djibril Sidibe signed on a permanent basis

Loads of Everton fans strongly believe that right-back Djibril Sidibe should be signed on a permanent basis.

The 27-year-old joined the club on loan from Ligue 1 side Monaco in the summer with an option to buy at the end of the current campaign, as per BBC Sport, and he has been a regular feature in the Toffees’ lineup since his arrival on Merseyside. Still, despite providing five assists in 21 appearances for the club, not all fans have been truly won over, with the defender coming in for some criticism by segments of the Gwladys Street faithful.

Sidibe, who is valued at £10.8m by TransferMarkt, has stepped in for young Jonjoe Kenny, who is currently on loan at Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04. Having been linked with a permanent move to Gelsenkirchen (as per the Daily Mail), that deal could depend on whether or not Sidibe stays or returns to Ligue 1. With this in mind, other supporters have actually wanted to see the Frenchman remain at Goodison Park and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that signing him would be a “complete steal”.
