Plenty of Everton fans have been left fuming as Lucas Digne picked up an injury on international duty for France.

The 27-year old was consequently subbed off during the game against Croatia and although it is not yet clear how serious the injury is, there will be fears from members of the Goodison Park faithful that he will miss the Merseyside derby against Liverpool.

Indeed, Digne has been highly influential at left-back for Carlo Ancelotti’s team so far in the Premier League in the 2020/21 term, winning 4.8 of his duels a game while also averaging three clearances, 2.5 tackles, two key passes and 1.5 interceptions per match, as per Sofascore.

The full-back also created more chances than any other in the top flight between the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons, even beating Reds duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.
