Everton: Fans laud Fabrizio Romano’s Lucas Digne update

Many Everton fans have been left lauding an update on Lucas Digne as Fabrizio Romano has confirmed he is staying despite interest from Spanish clubs.
The Italian football journalist and transfer guru confirmed this in a tweet along with a quote from Carlo Ancelotti which read: “I think next week Lucas Digne will sign a new contract, it will be officially announced”.
Is Digne the best left-back in the Premier League?
Yes

No

This has come as such a welcome relief to several members of the Goodison Park faithful, given just how important the former FC Barcelona ace is to the Merseyside club.
Digne is enjoying another fine season with the Toffees, with as many as six assists in just 13 games in the Premier League so far in the 2020/21 term, as well as winning no fewer than 5.7 of his duels and averaging 2.5 clearances, 2.1 tackles, 1.8 key passes and one interception per match (Sofascore). This goes a long way to highlighting his influence both in defence and attack.
