Loads of Everton fans have been slamming Andre Gomes as he picked up an injury which meant that he has had to be sent home from the Portuguese national team, according to Proxima Jornada.
Indeed, the £20.25 million-valued man was included in Portugal’s squad for their UEFA Nations League games, but now he will be trying to recover in time for the start of the new 2020/21 term, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side set to start off their season away at Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur in just a few days time.
Should Gomes start for Everton?
This is not the first time that Gomes has picked up an injury, with an ankle issue previously keeping him out of 15 matches in the 2019/20 campaign for the Toffees, as per Transfermarkt.
One member of the Goodison Park faithful even claimed that the central midfield player is ‘as brittle as Delph’ on Twitter, with the former Aston Villa and Manchester City man having a long history of injury woes.
These EFC supporters slammed Gomes, as they perhaps feel that the injury may be a repeat of what the 27-year old previously suffered in his last term for the Blues:
He's as brittle as Delph. Get rid
