Everton: Fans welcome Lucas Digne’s reduced ban

Loads of Everton fans have welcomed the news that Lucas Digne‘s suspension has been reduced following his red card against Southampton on Sunday.

Indeed, the decision to send off the France international for his foul on Kyle Walker-Peters was hotly contested, especially by pundit Jamie Redknapp.

According to the club’s official website, Digne will now only be banned for their next game against Newcastle United at St James’ Park and will be available for selection at home to Manchester United the following week.

This will surely come as a big boost to the Merseyside club and not least to Carlo Ancelotti, who sees the 27-year old as an ‘important’ player for the Toffees.
