Lots of Everton fans have been left bemoaning the loss of Yerry Mina as Carlo Ancelotti expects him to miss the Liverpool game on Saturday evening.
The former FC Barcelona ace picked up an injury in the Merseyside club’s 3-1 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League at Goodison Park, and the Italian boss does not think that he will be available to play against Jurgen Klopp’s men at Anfield.
Should Mina play ahead of Holgate or Keane at Everton?
Mina will be a big miss for the Toffees, given that the Colombia international has been a rock for them in the heart of the defence, winning no fewer than 4.7 of his duels a match in the top flight so far in the 2020/21 term, as well as averaging 4.5 clearances, 1.1 interceptions and one tackle per appearance (Sofascore).
Nonetheless, the Blues will have to find a way to keep their bitter rivals out without the help of the central defender.
Everton fan reaction to Mina injury
These EFC supporters bemoaned the injury to Mina on Twitter, with one fan even going as far as to claim that the 26-year-old will be a ‘huge loss’:
“Huge loss he has been fantastic this season”
“Gutted. Massive loss”
“Everton really doing their best to try to ruin my day.”
