Many Everton fans have been left slamming the display of Michael Keane despite their 2-1 away win at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Alex Iwobi and Andros Townsend were enough in the end to send the Goodison Park faithful into the third round of the Carabao Cup, despite Moise Kean getting sent off and the Terriers pulling a goal back through Tom Lees.

A lot of supporters of the Merseyside club thought that Keane was at fault for the goal conceded, and the central defender did not have the best of games in general, losing possession of the ball on no fewer than on 17 separate occasions in total, the joint-most out of any outfield player on his team (Sofascore).

Keane also lost out on three of his duels in the match, and failed to make a single interception, while recording one of the lowest pass accuracy percentages out of his teammates (73%) (Sofascore).

These Toffees slammed his performance on Twitter, with one even going as far as to claim that Keane is a 'Championship' player:

"Keane simply can’t play again barring an injury crisis. He truly has dropped to a level where you can’t rely on him at all."
