As per the outlet, the European giants are looking at the England international and are prepared to pay €40 million, which is the equivalent of around £36.1 million, to get his signature on the dotted line.
Can Everton do better than Calvert-Lewin up front?
Whether Zinedine Zidane’s team make a move for Calvert-Lewin in the January transfer window or next summer is not clear, but the 23-year old is supposedly now on the radar of Los Blancos.
Indeed, Calvert-Lewin has been enjoying a great start to the 2020/21 term so far, scoring no fewer than ten goals in a mere seven games in all competitions for Carlo Ancelotti’s side (Transfermarkt).
With seven of those strikes coming in the Premier League, Calvert-Lewin is the joint-top scorer with Spurs ace Heung-Min Son, but a move away to the Spanish capital in January would jeopardise his chances of finishing as the top flight’s Golden Boot winner.
Everton fan reaction to Calvert-Lewin exit link
These members of the Goodison Park faithful discussed the possible exit of Calvert-Lewin on Twitter, with one EFC supporter even claiming that the striker is ‘irreplaceable’:

Hahahaha 40 million?! Jokers.
— 🎃 (@very_Patrick) October 20, 2020
Spot on! He’s irreplaceable at the mo no matter how much we get for him.
— Polar Bear (@ThawinOut) October 20, 2020
Hahaha try double that and add an extra 20m! That offer is an insult for the Prems young leading scorer.
— Mikey James (@Mikey_James) October 20, 2020
They must be joking! €40M has bought some bang average players over the last few seasons! On current form (especially given DCL’s age!) he must be worth a King’s Ransom!
