Many Everton fans have been left lauding a transfer update involving the future of Jarrad Branthwaite.
As per a tweet from news editor and transfer guru Alan Myers, the 18 year-old is edging closer to a loan move to Blackburn Rovers and he added that they hope to have him available to be selected for their EFL Championship game at home to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
Should Carlo Ancelotti play Branthwaite more for Everton?
Branthwaite has only played in one match for the senior side so far in the 2020/21 term, so a loan move away from the Goodison Park faithful would likely suit all parties involved.
The central defender clearly has promise having broken into the first team of the Merseyside club last season at such a young age, and if he gets game time in the Championship, then he can continue his development and potentially come into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for the next campaign.
Everton fan reaction to Branthwaite update
These Toffees supporters lauded the transfer update involving Branthwaite on Twitter, with one Blues fan describing the move as ‘brilliant’ while another even went as far as to call the Englishman a ‘beast’:
“Now you’re talking. He was looking really good in the summer & you do wonder if he hadn’t been injured would he have been playing in the 1st team.”
“Good move for him and the club, he needs games and he’s proven already that’s he‘s better than the U23 league.”
