Everton transfer target Memphis Depay starred once again for the Netherlands as they beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-1 in the UEFA Nations League.
Indeed, the 26-year-old was linked with a switch to the Goodison Park faithful in the summer transfer window, but a move never materialised.
Should Everton sign Depay?
Depay seems to have opened up the door for a possible exit from Lyon, with further reports suggesting that he may be available for a mere £4.5m in the January transfer window given that his current deal with the French club expires next summer.
Nonetheless, following on from his quite impressive display against Spain in a friendly game earlier in the week, Depay once again showed his credentials with another wonderful performance.
Depay was the main man
Indeed, Depay was the main man for his country, as he was given an 8.7 overall rating by Sofascore, the highest out of anyone on the field of play.
Not only did the forward manage to bag himself a goal, but he also recorded a 100% dribble success rate, and also won no fewer than seven of his duels in the clash.
Depay also managed to record three shots on target and two key passes in the game, showing fans of the Merseyside club, and indeed Carlo Ancelotti himself, what he could offer at the Toffees if Everton did decide to make a move.
The Dutchman is more than capable of putting in ‘world-class’ displays such as these for his country at club level too on his day, and as such, the Blues could consider making a move for him in January if he is available.
