Many Everton fans have been left speculating over some transfer news that has emerged on Vitaliy Mykolenko.

According to the number one Ukrainian football news outlet, Zorya Londonsk, the Goodison Park faithful, as well as an Italian club, have now sent an offer to Dynamo Kyiv to try and sign the left-back, but a move is not at an advanced stage as of yet.

A lot of Merseyside club supporters have tied the link to the potential departure of Lucas Digne, who after a 'disagreement' with Rafa Benitez, has now been left out of the squad for their last two games in the Premier League.

Mykolenko is much younger than Digne (28) at 22 years of age, and was averaging 1.6 clearances and 1.4 interceptions per match in a UEFA Champions League group containing Bayern Munich, Benfica and FC Barcelona (SofaScore).

He has shown that he is capable of playing at a high level, and the top flight may well be his next destination, should Digne end up leaving.
