Speaking to Voetbal International in 2019, Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands has indicated that he would have PSV Eindhoven attacking midfielder Mohamed Ihattaren ‘tomorrow‘, with a report from The Boot Room highlighting what could be potential interest in the player.
According to Sky Sports, Brands has a strong working relationship with the player’s agent Mino Raiola from when they worked together at PSV during Brands’ time as technical director. Indeed, going by his comments surrounding the player to Voetbal International, Everton’s director is extremely keen in bringing Ihattaren to Goodison Park, with some supporters discussing what the player could bring to Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
The 18-year-old has scored three goals and assisted four others over 17 starts in the Eredivisie this season. Ihattaren, compared to current Everton attacker Theo Walcott, has also amassed a superior dribble completion rate (68%) whilst having a better passing accuracy rate (77%), as per SofaScore.
This indicates the teenager’s high potential but these Toffees supporters are divided over the prospect of a potential swoop, debating the ‘potentially world class‘ player in full on social media. Find all of their best comments down below.
