Everton: Oumar Niasse’s transfer rejection from Burnley has supporters bewildered over latest news

According to a report from Sky Sports via Read Everton, Burnley have revealed that they are not interested in signing striker Oumar Niasse despite previous reports that they were indeed pondering a move for the outcast (Sky Sports 10:09).

The Senegalese striker, having made just 30 appearances overall in the last three seasons for the Toffees, is currently on the fringes of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans – with a move away for the ex-Cardiff loanee being rumoured. On Friday morning, it appeared Toffees supporters were getting their wish, with a report from Sky’s transfer blog indicating interest from Burnley.

However, an Alan Myers tweet via Read Everton confirmed that the Clarets are not pursuing Niasse. Compared to in-form striker Dominic Calvert Lewin, when playing regularly in 2017/2018, Niasse did manage to complete more dribbles (0.9) but failed to match the Englishman in terms of shots per game (2.2), as per WhoScored.com.

Cardiff City fan columnist Scott Johnson also dubbed the striker ‘really unreliable‘ during Niasse’s stint with the Bluebirds to WalesOnline. Find all of the supporters’ best reaction to the news down below.
