According to a report from the print version of Corriere dello Sport via Area Napoli.it, Everton are interested in a potential £33.9 million swoop for winger Hirving Lozano as part of a summer overhaul which includes out of contract targets Dries Mertens and Jose Callejon – but these Toffees supporters are anything but impressed.
Lozano, who has amassed a 94% pass accuracy inside his own half as per SofaScore, is a reported target for manager Carlo Ancelotti, who could very well swoop for the out-of-favour winger in the summer. The Mexican has made just 15 Serie A appearances for Napoli this season with seven of those coming as a substitute, prompting interest from Everton, who could potentially prepare for the 2020/2021 season with a summer transfer shopping spree.
Lozano, compared to current Toffees winger Bernard this campaign, has amassed more shots per game (1.2) in the league in 148 less minutes, as per WhoScored.com. However, Bernard has managed a superior amount of key passes (1.1) and completed dribbles (1.3) in that time. As a result, these Toffees supporters aren’t exactly keen on a move for the 24-year-old – with one fan branding him a would-be ‘flop‘.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
