According to a report from the Daily Telegraph, Everton may be interested in a pursuit of highly-rated Real Madrid scout Juni Calafat who is responsible for landing most of the Galacticos’ young South American talent – resulting in these Toffees supporters going into full discussion.
Calafat, who has played a major role in bringing young prodigies like Fede Valverde, Martin Odegaard, Eder Militao, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior to the Bernabeu (Telegraph), is reportedly being eyed by several Premier League clubs, including Everton, who are looking to prize his expertise in scouting to their benefit. The Spaniard’s latest acquisition, promising youngster Reinier Jesus, joined Real after his £25.1 million release clause was activated – adding to the long list of players Calafat has had a hand in poaching for the La Liga title-chasers.
Now, with the Toffees interested in strengthening their stance in the transfer market, many supporters are debating how a move for the chief scout could benefit their club – with one supporter highlighting the potential dream partnership with Director of Football Marcel Brands.

Would the UK work permit system not be an issue or is he likely to aim for the exceptional talent/high fee market to circumvent

Interesting issue to raise that, I doubt he’d leave his Madrid job for us tbh.
