Everton reject West Ham move for 29-year-old star

Deadline Day is in full swing now and the bids are starting to come to light here in the Transfer Tavern with many punters glued to the TVs here and to their phones.

This time in the market always generates plenty of talking points and that is certainly the case for our local Everton and West Ham fans with them seeing the Hammers have a loan bid rejected for Kevin Mirallas – as per Sky Sports on Twitter:

It’s a move that would have surely caught many by surprise but that is the beauty of Deadline Day and now it remains to be seen just whether or not the Hammers try with a new bid.

For sure, with it being a loan there may be less scope to actually improve the terms and with Everton looking short in terms of out and out wingers, the Hammers might just have to give up.

It’s certainly got people chatting by the bar, though, and so it remains to be seen as to what happens next.

Landlord’s Verdict

Mirallas is a tricky winger and would surely give West Ham a bit more edge up front but it makes sense that Everton want to keep him.

They are short of wingers with the likes of Yannick Bolasie being injured and so it remains to be seen if any improved offer can make the Toffees change their minds.
