After an interview with the club’s official website emerged on Twitter of Carlo Ancelotti taking a liking to his fan song, supporters have responded brilliantly to the clip and have hailed the former AC Milan boss for his gratitude towards the Goodison Park faithful.
Ancelotti, who took over the managerial role soon after former boss Marco Silva was relieved of his duties, has since overseen a debatable climb back to form – winning three of their last four league games. Their only loss in that time was a 2-1 defeat away at Premier League champions Manchester City, perhaps indicating that this could be the start of a Toffees resurgence – even despite their humbling 1-0 FA Cup derby loss to a weakened Liverpool team. The Italian’s start to life on Merseyside has been met with due celebration from supporters, with a section of them already coming up with a chant for the Champions League-winning coach.
