Being on loan can see a player split their loyalties between two clubs: their parent side and the team they are with on a temporary basis.
While there doesn’t seem to have been a problem with Jonjoe Kenny dealing with this while on loan with Schalke, many Everton fans are feeling that Schalke need to remember they only have the 22-year-old temporarily.
That sense of feeling comes after the German club’s tweet regarding the Everton academy graduate’s inclusion in the shortlist for Bundesliga Rookie of the Month:

As indicated by his nomination, Kenny has got off to a good start in Germany, having started all three of Schalke’s league matches to date, as per WhoScored, scoring the final goal in their 3-0 victory against Hertha Berlin.
So far, he has averaged 2.3 tackles, 0.3 interceptions and 2.3 clearances per game, as well as 1 key pass and 0.7 crosses.
These are certainly encouraging signs, but Everton fans have been quick to remind Schalke that he is still a player for their club, adding that they are looking forward to seeing him come home.
