Everton: Toffees blast deadline day loan move for ex-Tottenham keeper Pau Lopez

According to a report by Italian daily news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Roma News, Everton and AS Roma are currently in negotiations over a loan to buy swoop for ex-Tottenham keeper Pau Lopez – but supporters are less than impressed with Marcel Brands’ alleged latest move.

It’s been quite the summer transfer window so far for Everton, with a plethora of signings having already come through the door courtesy of sporting director Brands.

Indeed, the Toffees have landed James Rodriguez, Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and defender Ben Godfrey, who was announced today, with La Gazzetta now reporting that the club also have their sights set on a deputy keeper and challenger to Jordan Pickford.

Everton’s number one has been at the centre of criticism from supporters recently, prompting the Merseysiders to consider other shot stoppers over the deadline day rush.

However, fans aren’t exactly overjoyed with these links to Lopez, voicing their discontent on Twitter – here’s what they had to say.
