Everton fans are criticising the entire squad that played against Chelsea at the weekend. The Toffees conceded an embarrassing four goals at Stamford Bridge and Andre Gomes’ attempt to paper over the cracks has backfired.
Chelsea handed Carlo Ancelotti’s side a heavy defeat and made it three Premier League matches in a row without a win. Everton fans are lashing out at several players in particular for their poor performances.
Andre Gomes’ post-match tweet hasn’t sat well either, with many supporters pointing the finger at him despite his recent return from injury.
The Portuguese midfielder was dribbled past six times on Sunday and lost possession eight times along with eight failed duels (via Sofascore).
Gomes tweeted: “Was a bad afternoon for us and we must learn from what happened today. The only positive thing is that we have a good opportunity next Monday at home to make our fans proud!” Blues fans however, are not buying the sentiment of the post.
One fan has slammed his ‘horrendous’ performance while another has complained that his tweet is ‘as demoralising as the performance’.
effort was pathetic andre. Can forgive bad games but some of you lot gave up today

Love you Andre but let your feet do the talking mate. Absolute shambles this afternoon. Feel so sorry for those that went.
