Everton suffered their first loss since the restart against Tottenham on Monday.
The Toffees had drawn with Liverpool 0-0 and beaten Leicester and Norwich before they faced Spurs earlier this week, but they were defeated 1-0 due to a Michael Keane own goal.

They will be looking to get back to winning ways against Southampton on Thursday. Here, we try to predict Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI for the match.
In goal, Jordan Pickford will be chosen once again. He is currently unchallenged for Ancelotti, and after conceding just two goals in his last four matches there is little need to change anything between the sticks.
In defence, a change will be forced upon the Italian. Mason Holgate came off injured against Jose Mourinho’s side, and as such Yerry Mina should come in to replace him. However, Seamus Coleman, Michael Keane and Lucas Digne should keep their places.
The Goodison Park outfit could be faced with the same situation in midfield. Alex Iwobi, who joined the club last summer for £35m, was also forced off during that previous match and should therefore be unavailable for this clash. That could see Richarlison drop back the right side of the midfield. Also, Bernard may come in for Tom Davies, which could see Gylfi Sigurdsson move into the middle of the park alongside Andre Gomes whilst the Brazilian starts of a midfield four.

Richarlison’s position change could be good news for Moise Kean, giving him the opportunity to start for the first time since the restart. Dominic Calvert-Lewin should keep his place, though.
