Everton are really starting to demonstrate their progression under Marco Silva, despite a fairly rocky start.
Goodison Park is full of happy fans right now and understandably so. They’re watching a good team, playing exciting, attacking football that is earning them impressive results.
It’s now easy to see why Everton took so long trying to bring Marco Silva to the club, as the former Hull and Watford manager has reignited the club as a whole.
He has been helped by the strong performances on the pitch by his talented group of players and none other recently that loan star Andre Gomes.
Since arriving from Barcelona, Gomes has demonstrated exactly why he was able to join the European giants in the first place.
His play on the ball is delightful and as well as being an astute passer of the ball, Marco Silva surely would have seen everything to make him believe that only after four appearances, Everton should be signing him permanently.
Gomes, who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt, missed the start of the season and has just entered the picture for the Toffees since returning fit.
Nevertheless, he has quickly made up for lost time by showing exactly what he is capable of. The Goodison faithful has been amazed by his silky displays on the pitch and also want him signed up immediately before other teams or Barcelona want him instead.
At 25, he is the prime age to really start kicking on as a Premier League footballer and that’s exactly what he could do if Everton sign him up on a permanent deal in January.
