Everyone on Twitter have come together to absolutely slate Jack Wilshere

Fans in the Transfer Tavern have been lining up to take shots at Jack Wilshere. The England midfielder announced yesterday evening that he would be leaving The Emirates after failing to agree on a contract extension with new Arsenal manager, Unai Emery. The 26-year-old will be looking for a new club this summer and fans can read his full statement on Sky Sports News.

Jack Wilshere has spent more time off the pitch than he did on it in his Arsenal career. The midfielder was rightly left out of the England squad for the World Cup, and without him, on the pitch, the Three Lions will likely avoid any off the field controversies. Whoever does end up offering Wilshere a contract this summer will be hoping they’re lucky enough to get at least half a season out of him before he gets crocked with his latest injury woe.

It says a lot that the most famous the midfielder has had with Arsenal came off the football field as opposed to on it. After winning the FA Cup with the club Wilshere took a pop at Spurs from the bus parade. According to Transfermarkt, Wilshere failed to manage 200 appearances for the club despite being at the club for over 17 years and being in the senior squad for ten years.
