Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very pleased they got back to winning ways over the weekend with a 4-2 win over Leicester City.
The Toffees had only seen a point come out of their previous two games prior to the weekend – a loss at Liverpool and a draw at Manchester United – and so it was pivotal they got back on track on Sunday.
They duly did, too, with another entertaining game at Goodison Park – the latest in a long line this season and certainly in this calendar year.
Indeed, the Blues really have found the goal-touch when it comes to playing in front of their own fans and this stat – via OptaJoe on Twitter – just about sums it all up:
