Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern really had their nerves jangled last night as their side drew at home to Everton.
In what was an entertaining game at the Etihad it was the Toffees – and old foe Wayne Rooney – who struck first to silence the home crowd.
Indeed, things got worse before half-time as Kyle Walker was sent off and it did look as though City were to lose their first home game of the season.
That, though, did not come about as Raheem Sterling lashed home towards the end of the game to help salvage a draw before Morgan Schneiderlin was also sent off.
A fascinating game to take in, then, and after the full-time whistle City fans were certainly taking to Twitter to have their say.
Here, then, is the best of the reaction:
FULL-TIME | It’s finished at the Etihad. @sterling7‘s stunning strike cancels out Rooney’s opener and it ends all square. #cityvefc pic.twitter.com/eoRv5oUMM8

Everton tw0 shots on goal, one goal. BRAVO!
Possession not enough when defense is broken.
And booing Rooney didn’t help, did it?
